Fall Update

We are so looking forward to the back half of our 2021 season, filled with incredible musical acts and a bevy of family-friendly events like Movies in the Barn, our Saturday Garden Series, and a NEW Fall Festival.

We appreciate your support and patience in adhering to our Covid-related changes and, to finish our 2021 season in a safe manner, are continuously adjusting our protocols based on CDC recommendations and our industry’s response. Because of this, effective September 1st, we will require all guests of Vinegar Hill to provide proof of their Covid-19 vaccination, or a negative Covid-19 test result within a 48-hour period of their arrival date. Either must be accompanied by a matching photo ID. Children under the age of 12 are exempt but are required to wear masks.
The Maine CDC recommends that everyone in York County wear a mask in public indoor spaces. We are grateful to our guests for wearing masks at all times while in indoors, regardless of vaccination status. We have adjusted our bar service to be tableside, have upgraded our ventilation systems, and will keep doors open for air flow when we’re able to.
Our primary goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy, while we continue to gather and have fun. We firmly believe “the show must go on” and to do so, must make this difficult decision. We know this ask will be a hard one for some, and please accept our gratitude for doing your part. Please direct any questions around this update, or previously purchased tickets, via email to our Managing Director.
Thank you again for your understanding and we hope to see you soon.

Fall Events and Programming

Join Vinegar Hill Music Theatre for a family fun-filled day at our Fall Festival and support the Vinegar Hill Youth Theatre. Since its return as an active charitable organization in 2018, the Vinegar Hill Youth Theatre has awarded more than $6,000 to regional youth to support their participation in performing arts. This season, we’ve been collecting gently used musical instruments that will be refurbished and presented to local students.

Our final fundraiser will occur at the Fall Festival where we’ll host a Pumpkin Carving and Decorating contest – all proceeds from which will be directed to local students via the Vinegar Hill Youth Theatre scholarship fund. Visitors are encouraged to donate $5 and either decorate or carve a pumpkin and secure their place in our “Great Wall O’ Pumpkins”. We’ll award prizes for winning pumpkins!

Like being spooked? Take a socially distanced stroll through our Haunted Barn from 1-3pm! Kiddos will love the activities we have planned for them and the whole family can enjoy nibbles from Texas Grace Kitchen and Mobile Musette, live acoustic music in the Garden and more. Plan your day with us and support a fantastic cause while having fun!

When: Saturday, October 23rd – 11-4pm; Haunted Barn is 1pm-3pm

Sponsorships are available. If interested in becoming an event sponsor, please email Managing Director, Sarah Dearing.  For more information, call 207-985-5552.

We have  added air purifiers to restrooms and other highly trafficked areas of the property. Hand Sanitizer Stations are provided at all entrances, exits, concessions, and various marked areas in the barn.*
